May 2006 - Present
I'm presently a part of tenCube Pte. Ltd., a Singapore based technology startup, pioneering in mobile security software. I must admit that the joy in building a product from scratch, and seeing it out there in the world is beyond what words can ever explain!

My job responsibilities include - development (C# & ASP.NET mostly), project management, overseeing general operations, and regularly clearing out the trash...

April 2004 - April 2006
I started my first full time work at Buildfolio Technologies Pte. Ltd., a startup based in the Silicon Valley, which provided Facilities & Asset management enterprise solutions. In Buildfolio, I worked on various projects, which included:

• Ascendas Integrated Management System (AIMS),
  
• Mobile Sales Force Management Systems for Yeo Hiap Seng (Yeo's),
  
• Resource Booking System for Singpore Management Univeristy (SMU),
  
• Maintenance Management System for Kompleks Perbadanan Putrajaya (Malaysia)
  
• Advanced Web-based Reporting Solutions for Penang Water Works (PBA), and
  
• Buildfolio's core Facilities Managment Software for Jones Lang Wootton (JLW Malaysia).
• Buildfolio's 21 CFR Part 11 Compliance developed single handedly.

To my fortune, my job required me to travel for requirements gathering, deployment, UAT and user Training. I visited Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Putrajaya and Kuching (Sarawak) during my tenure at Buildfolio.

June 2000 - April 2004
I flew down to Singapore on June 28, 2000 to join National University of Singapore (NUS). When I came down to NUS, I realized that the course I was being offered was a degree was not an Engineering course, but Computer Science course from the School of Computing. I graduated with Honours in April 2004. In many ways, it was a pretty good decision!

In the hindsight, I often feel that I should have studied more during my years in the University. Resources were plentiful, and yet, I didn't make much use of it. I did learn a lot of things which may not be academic, but they have made me the person I am today.

The peak of my study in NUS comprised of two projects that I did for the Communications and Internet Research Lab (CIR):

• In the summer of 2002 I did an internship in CIR on a Performance Enhancement Proxy for TCP called the Berkley SNOOP Protocol.
  
• In the academic year 2002-03, I continued my internship research into the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Projct (UROP), to port the Snoop Protocol from BSD to Linux. Linux Snoop was officially released in January 2004.
• In August 2003, I presented my UROP research at the National UROP Congress, representing the School of Computing, NUS
• In the academic year 2003-04, I did my final year project on finding Heuristics in New RENO To Improve the Performance of TCP. The research was to form an arm of the CIR's Reactive TCP Project.
  I did relatively well in it, though I was too lazy to write a paper for it. So, Wu XiuChao wrote the paper for me, and included part of his research on it as well. It got published in IPCCC Conference 2005.
  

I lived on campus for my first three years in a hostel called the King Edward VII Hall. In my first year, I had a double room in Block C - 307. In my second and third year, I stayed in Block G - 405.

KE7 was full of charming people from all over the place. That made participating in hall activities a whole lot more fun. In my first two years, I was part of the publicity team for the Hall Play (Dancing about Architecture), the Block Committee (G Block), Windbreaker Committee (designed the logo at the back), Hockey, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Comics Team, etc.

In m third year, I joined a few university level activities:

• SOIS : Society of Indian Scholars, Singapore [Archive]
• In 2002-03, I joined as the IT secretary, and redid the SOIS website (which has been taken down for another revamp).
  
• In 203-04, I was elected the Vice President of the organization. My responsibilities included organizing the festival celebrations, and overseeing the execution of the NUS play Kathputli (Blame Game)
  
  
• Indian Instrumental Ensemble, Center for the Arts, NUS (IIE)
• From 2002 onwards, I have been part of the Hindustani Vocals group in the IIE. I have been taking part in the annual showcase Bharat Culture since then.
  IIE truly is one of my most favourite activities. Its the music, the people, the charm, and the purpose that makes IIE so special to me.
  
  
• School of Computing Corporate Communications (SCC)
  
• In 2003, I joined SCC. I was in charge of showcasing technology and media at the SoC booth a the NUS Open House (Fiesta 2003). I must say it was nice talking the president of Singapore. I was showing him an HP tablet PC, which was about to hit the mass market later that year. He told me that his wife spoke Bengali, and we exchanged a few Bengali words.
  
  
• Wireless Java Jam Competition
• In the December of 2002, we won the first prize in the Java Jam competition, SPH Media Works category. We showcased a coupon distribution and redemption solution on mobile phones that run J2ME. I was responsible for building the server side of the component.

May 1998 - June 2000
I did a diploma in International Baccalaureate from St. Mary's International School, Tokyo. This was the time when I did most of my artwork.
